Sale e Tabacchi is a new, one-hundred percent Italian café and restaurant that has been designed by a well-known Berlin architect. The menu may be limited, but the selections are exquisite. Located near to Checkpoint Charlie and the 'newspaper district,' it is a favorite dining spot for the editors of the TAZ newspaper. Large front windows facing Kochstrasse, high ceilings, exotic woods and the daily Corriere de la Sera can all be found here. In the summer, there is seating on the terrace in the inner courtyard.
